In the absence of a visible thick green strip of trees across Africa, how will everyone know if the project has worked or not? I think success is really around the livelihoods of the people that are living in those landscapes. The Great Green Wall was recognized as a flagship program for the UN for ecosystem restoration. So it's going to go global. It's a model that has worked. We have to do it together.
