The Future of Corporate Governance
ESG is a scoring mechanism for corporations to see if they are environmentally responsible, socially responsible. It was created at the United Nations by a guy named James Gifford using this kind of rationale. He explicitly said from the start that his goal was to take the six to $10 trillion in pension funds and long-term investments and figure out how to do impact investing.
