I negotiated a bank robbery with hostages, which is a really rare event. In real life, it happens in the United States about once every 20 years. The first bank robber to surrender actually surrendered to me personally outside the bank. He only knew me by my voice. And so yeah, he was relieved. He was happy to be out of it.
