The Dark History of Medicine in Relation to Human Behavior

The ability to basically protect, prospectively take responsibility for our behavior is one that's crucial. So I don't think this is just a problem for public health models of crime. It's a problem for all areas of life. Strategies which serve to strengthen those capacities and help enable people to take responsibility are always going to be the morally better strategies.
