How Fast Is a Local Anesthetic?

The potency of a local anesthetic is related to the lipid solubility and so this may sound very similar to what we just said but at a given pH the more lipid soluble than it is the more potent it will be. The duration of action you'll often find on tests they want you to say protein binding which is not that that's not true. More recent studies have shown that vasoconstriction probably plays an even bigger role or at least as big a role of protein binding. So LiDicane probably the most commonly used is rapid onset with 4.5 milligrams per kilogram, if you add epinephrine then you can use up to 7 milligrams
