What Are the Effects of Ganaderic Acid on Red Rishi?
Red rishi is a very woody dense mushroom that if you try and take a bite out of it it's really unpleasant. A lot of these compounds are also locked away in this very thick chitin rich cell walls. The triterpines are bitter so the ganaderic acids are very bitter so if you do have some of our ultra concentrated red rishi at home just tasted it's super bitter. It actually does have some interesting flavors but if you just bite on it like that it's not very pleasant.
