When you pay people more, all sorts of things happen. If no one has any money, who will buy the stuff that employment depends on? I have a lot of friends who are economists, but it's hard not to be mad at a field of study that can forget things like power exists. High standards are good for everyone. All around, good for everybody, just as expect from middle out policies.
