Sally Kohn: Feeling like you don't have the same friendships that you had maybe three, four, five years ago is a universal experience for people in their 20s. The impact of that experience is really long lasting and likely still having residual impacts on our ability to socialize," she says. She explains why it can be so hard to make new friends especially in big metropolitan areas where everyone else has already got their group. "I've spoken about this with friends a lot as well. And I think a lot of them all say the same thing."
This week we discuss how to make new friendships in our 20’s. We all can recognise how hard it is to make friends as we enter adulthood but what does psychology actually say about this struggle and why is it so difficult as we move beyond our school years into work and the real world.
