John Lenon's Quote to a London Columnist
John lenon is deeply interested in religion and was having serious talks with morin cri, who was both a friend of the beetles and a representative for the london evening standard. Lenon did not mean to boast about the beetle's fame. He meant to point out that the beetle's effect appeared to be, to him, a more immediate one upon certain of the younger generation. It was not anticipated tut it would be displayed out of context and in such a manner as it was,. In these circumstances, john is deeply concerned and regrets that people with certain religious beliefs should have been offended in any way - whateve or tunge.
