The History of Tuvalu
Wailers used Tuvalu as a landing place melting down blubber from the whales that they'd killed and replenishing their stores. The British established laws and law enforcement on the islands mandating things like school attendance for young children. Now Ru is one single island with a population of just over 10 000 people unlike Lichtenstein and San Marino which have complicated political histories to explain why they're so small. Due to the effects of climate change Tuvalu is at risk of being wiped off the map entirely by rising sea levels.
