Two guitar players are playing this. This is both bill kelliher and brett hines, or at least i'm assuming it's the two of them. But a two lead guitars in harmony. They're playing the same riff exactly a fifth apart. The whole thing moves in parallel fifths which gives it this uncanny sound. That's actually a sound that massodon really likes. So start on the d phrygian scale. If you're a not very good piano player like me, it's just good to practise things in parallel like that with your left in your right hand.
