The Blazing Saddles

Mel Brooks appears a number of times in the film. I didn't know he was the Indian chief. It isn't the classic that young Frankenstein is, but I enjoyed it. Perhaps it is me seeing this through the eyes of myself in 2023. All of these black people are well-spoken and smart and interesting characters. The blazing saddles was one of the greatest movies of all time. And I'm going to give it a four just for going there. 70s humor. It's not quite the same. But it was refreshing to see some race relation jokes that weren't timid. "I will say it fell apart in the end"
