The New Liberal University Is a Different Beast
The new liberal university is a different beast right in the traditional university. In that sense, it uses this promise to lure you in. But it's not really interested in you and your passions, etc. As long as you take off all the boxes, as long as you write your two articles a year or whatever right you bring in your grand money, which is much more important than the two articles, right? Then it's happy. So and I think this discrepancy, if you'd like between a promise, a very effective, like emotional almost appeal and the reality of the university puts people off.
