The Importance of a Process in Life

In Rand's formulations, there's two important qualifiers that I think if you attend to, it's easy to see what's going on with humor's counter-example. So the first is that she's describing life as a process. Like a process is an ongoing, continuous set of actions with a certain aim or goal. And she says that living things face an alternative. Versus clouds not facing anything. Clouds don't do anything to cause effects on themselves.
