Is There an Economic Incentive for Collaboration?
There are many glimmers of hope in your book. Governments that start in particular the EU are setting up bodies to look at this and figure this out. And there's a California law that has made it illegal for essentially digital technology to pretend it's human. But I am interested in how much resistance there is to dealing with this, grappling with this,. admitting it's a serious set of potentially existential problems. You're not attacking physics by saying, wow, you are so clever, you might eventually exceed human capabilities. Right, that's not an attack on physics: It's actually a complement to AI.
