In the 19 fifties, fighter pilot colonel john boyd coined the term odelop to describe the cycle by which human beings and organizations make decisions at the operationa level. During military campaign, s oda stands for observe, orient, decide, act. The basic idea is that if you can break any part of you enemy's odaloop, you can stop them from properly reacting in a given situation and eventually defeat them.
