JAMA and the Dutch House
Lucy Barton and the Dutch House is a family saga set in near contemporary California with four World War II London as an early backdrop. JAMA's own story is dominated by her past with Bill, an older married man who revealed himself as a closeted cross dresser. Now 20 years later, JAMA's father has died and her mother is confined to an Alzheimer's care unit. She must decide whether to embrace her own imperfect life or cling to the myth she's believed in since childhood. The manuscript has had a sensitivity read by a member of the cross dressing community.
