The Freedom Caucus Is Still in the Dark on This Issue
The most conservative members of the Republican Conference were never really going to get on board with something like this. I think the Freedom Caucus is aware, but I don't know that they've come to terms with that yet. It's important to understand that when the House rules say you need 72 hours between getting the bill and being able to vote on the bill, it actually the clock starts when they file it. The Fitch news, the idea of a downgrade, did that move anybody, Ali? I don't think so.
