In 1977, Roger Rogers retires from Columbia Business School. In 1979, the dean goes to a guy named Charlie Wolf and asks him to teach security analysis. He writes one of the first research reports on Apple Computer just after they go public. And he gives up his tenureship economy to become a full-time analyst. The deal he strikes with the school is that he'll teach security analysis every year.
