The Importance of Methods in Investigating the Truth
He's basically saying it's undisciplined, what typically happens. So blind is the curiosity with which mortals are possessed that they often direct their minds on untried to pass in the groundless hope that they will chance upon what they are seeking. It would be a weird world, right, in which to say there's not a we don't need a method for finding out the truth is the same as just saying that any method will do.
