Is There a Difference Between Marx and Engels?

Engels was a much better writer than Marx, but he saw that Marx had the greater power of abstraction. He got very angry with him sometimes. The Soviets edited this thing and they took out all the juicier pages so we don't know really what other facts there are here. It seems to me like there are a lot of psychological impressions of Marx. Could have been that he was speaking for himself and said that the raising above his own perceptual level alienated him. Can you comment on that?
