The Importance of Social Marketing
We are social animals. And things have enormous sway if our friends like it. That little message plugs right into these networks telling us that it's cool. Think about it this way: Would you pay $129 for some weird new earbuds? Maybe we could be more likely to do it if your friends were all doing it. The reason this all has so much influence on our behavior is because of faith in the social market.
