Do You Need a Neurological Examination?
Identifying the presence of a neuropathy is probably the most common reason why people should consider doing a neurological examination. We often do a neuronological examination to identify whether someone has neuropathic pain. A patient with cervical myelopathy would have a very different finding on a neurological screening examination compared to somebody with a nerve root problem. The fourth reason why we do a neurological examination quite often is to monitor change over time.
