If you want to drink coffee out of a champagne flute, go right ahead. Even though there are certain types of liquids that are more commonly used in certain types of vessels, that doesn't mean that one necessarily always must go with the other. You can always drink wine out of a pint glass and drink two % milk out of a martini glass.
