John Sutter: I find the puritanical purity attitude, regardless of where it's coming from, to be extremely dangerous because it demonizes your opponent and that leads to very bad places. He quotes an essay by George Orwell called politics and the English language in which he describes watching politicians like a robot. Sutter says if all you're using is buzz words, are you living? Who are you? Right? Dan, this is really, really good stuff. It's impossible to miss the unique things about Dan. He's passionate about learning and understanding and challenging his own assumptions. And maybe that was useful for politicians in the past when parties controlled more and they could go out and give
