The Four Stages of Reverse Meditation

The four steps of reverse meditation can be applied to emotional or physical pain. The first step is the observation, and when you're in pain, dig your fingernail into your thumb; don't chomp on it. We want to initiate something that's discord, dissonant, uncomfortable. And so then the first stage is observe it, just simply cultivate this witness awareness.
