When the show ended, I was just like everybody else, right? I was like watching the show is not connected to the world at all. So when the casting announcements came out, there's a lot of controversy around it because it's a fantasy world that's based on real world Asian cultures. And they gave all of the heroic roles to white actors. But one of the people who read that comic was an editor at Dark Horse Comics. She called me up and she was like, do you want to write these for us? That's awesome. This is like a dream come true story. It was very unexpected that that happened, but I was also incredibly grateful.
