The Phantom Costs of Living in a Low Cost of Living Area
The one downside of living in a small town, Sammy, is dating. Living in a high cost of living area not only has the known cost, but it has many phantom costs that we often don't consider and can't anticipate before we move there. Our mother's co-worker messaged me on Instagram to say she had this friend who was Indian like you; he's a nurse like your mother. And I have been trying to be open-minded. These things don't matter to me, but I think they're important to the story.
