If there is one overarching political lesson to be learned from this book, it is that democracy should be sharply limited. Anyone who does not both stand on his own two feet and who does not have a defined, strong stake in society should not be allowed to vote. Those with more children or grandchildren who otherwise are eligible to vote would be given substantial additional voting power as well.
