In general, I find that the failure mode I try to avoid most is codependencies. If the entrepreneur can't live without me, chances are it's not a good investment for me. And at the same time, the corollary to that has never invested in your own vision. So you've got to get really comfortable with that and be in a position to help be a multiplier effect on that rather than a cause of it.
