George Elden lad is famous in scholarship for his theology of the New Testament. He wrote a book called The Last Things, an eschatology for layman. And he sees biblical theology marching in Old New Testament repurpose the Old Testament on these two trajectories. This age is a time of mortality and death. Marriage is an essential institution or the race would die out. Age to come will be inaugurated by the resurrection from the dead. Those who experience it will be like angels in one respect. They will henceforth be immortal being sons of the resurrection with everlasting life.
