The Importance of Metadata
Bruce Schneier is a renowned security technologist and cryptographer. He says the metadata coming in and out of our phones is just as important, and maybe even more telling. We have little say over who gets it, and once it's out there, we can't take it back. Bruce thinks that for us to have more control over our metadata, there need to be basic rules about who can collect it and how long they can use it for.
