How to Reduce Pain in Adhesive Capsulitis
In terms of physical therapy, would you refer to a physiotherapist? I do, yes. It's been shown that aggressive physical therapy pushing through the patient's pain may actually worsen their symptoms and cause a slower recovery of range of motion. So we want to do just the right amount, which can lead itself more to the art of medicine than the science. Okay. And you mentioned steroid dose packs, I think. What exactly is that? A med draw or prednisone dose pack will be beneficial. There's high level studies that show that this results in decreased pain initially in the early course of adhesive capsulitis.
