What Went Wrong With the Regional Bank Failures?
Three large regional banks fail, all in ways that impose significant hits to the deposit insurance fund. "A number of things went wrong," says Professor John Boulden. Banks were taking a lot of risks without understanding those risks and not appropriately hedging those risks,. And there were also shortcomings in supervision", he adds.
