Greece and rome are relativelyl documented, but that means far less than any modern society. So how do we know anything about day to day life in Rome or Greece? Whare are our sources? Where do they come from right nowin t its? It's a good question. Only a tiny fraction of the objects that existed have been preserved by archaeology. We know a lot about trade in olive oil and wine in the roman world. These were disposable pots when you want to tell people what was going on there.
