You can also see when you're ultrasound lesions on the chest wall or even lesions in the lung. A massive pleural effusion is most common cause of a pneumothorax. You can use contrast to see if there's some enhancement of the visceral pleura. And then again, you can also look for loculated fluid on a CT.
