The coaching industry has always been about self improvement in a certain kind of way. Even developmental work can get usurped and overtaken by that self improvement agenda. When we start out with that need to improve, we're really starting out in a place where e feel some sense of self deficiency. And even if you get to some sense of improvement, how long does that feeling of sufficiency really last? You know, for some people it's literally minutes. But i try to flip this whole story on its head: what if nothing is missing?
