Bin Laden and the CIA - What's the Difference?
John O'Neill and his squad saw the pattern clearly, but no one else did. CIA station chief Michael Schoyer had contact with Bin Laden in the 1980s when he was fighting against the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. The two agencies would sometimes track the same suspects without telling each other what they knew. For decades, FBI and CIA grappled over the wall in a tug-of-war over resources and information.
