How to Use Behavior Modification in Institutional Settings

In the late 19 sixties and early 19 seventies, it was abundantly clear to a few parents and professionals that no other organization was addressing the ideological, research, financial and progrmatic needs of people with severe disabilities. Ands no applied behavral analysis started out as a neutral term but then eventually became terminology used by some who were advocating for institutions or trying to teach people how to live in the community. The emergence of the self advocate advocacy movement, to me, has been paramount in this discussion,. where it's the people who have ha been subjected to these techniques - not things that contrive to control them.
