Sigmund's Prayer to Torukwara

The Earl threw himself at Torukwara's feet and lay for a long while. Then he stood up and said to Sigmund that they must offer her some offering in front of her. And as a sign that she accepts this offering, I want her to let go of the gold ring that is on her arm. Clearly, there's an offering that exchange. In this case, it was TorukWara. If you read the saga, you can learn all about that. But, you know, throwing himself at her feet is apparently a normal thing to do towards a goddess in a temple. It sounds just like what we read about Roman people doing this kind of thing.
