The Importance of Performance in the Cloud
When we went to the cloud, I think we were all kind of fooled that we'd have that local desktop PC performance or the pizza box performance. But they really are kind of slow-ish machines. And the cloud is kind of sluggish. There's latency on the disk, there're latency on the network that we don't talk about. If you were using like raw hardware, the way stack overflows for so long has refused to go to the cloud. So, I think that's our performance to obsessed company we've had before.
