The Effect of Epinephrine on the Heart

In a patient where you actually have an effective epinephrine, what you're going to see is a clamping down of the periphery. That's now going to decrease flow that generates N-tidal CO2. So we will stop the overall flow and direct more with by hindering it a bit in the periphery and legs. You will direct more of it to the brain, which does not contract its vessel in the same way. We're also a response to that effort. It will go there, but the overall resistance will increase a bit. And the flow will therefore go just a bit. The overall flow will go a bit down.
