The woman at the well calls Jesus and there's a progression. She goes from, how is it that thou being a Jew? The one who bangs on his chest and says, God be merciful to me, a sinner. And he goes home justified. Bob: There's no question that John organized it just this way to make the point that Jesus comes for everyone.
