B c e, was apparently a concern for those empires around them. After the battle of kadesh in the thirteenth century, b c e, which brought the hittites in direct conflict with the egyptians,. A peace treaty was created in which both parties agreed not to attack each other again and unite gainst any third party that may attack either of them. And this could be in direct response to the expanding threat of the strengthening assyrian empire. But despite all these neighbouring empires clearly subjecting the assyrians to restrictions in order to contain them, it does appear that this did not prevent the collapse of both the hittite and mison s.
