How to Choose the Right Presser for Your Patient
Ventilafrin is my presser of choice. I use esmalol if I think that the heart rate is low, and I still want to bring the blood pressure down. Nichardopene is also typically what anti-hypertensive therapy is going to be used in a neurocritical care setting. But ultimately, most people will approach these cases with an infusion of some presser prepared and ready to go.
