I gather that you knew by the age of 12 that you wanted to write. This would have been when you were settled in Wales. What sort of writing did you already have a sense that it was the making up of fantasies? I'm not fantasy necessarily. Stories, I wanted to write books like the books I read. And whenever we were allowed to write a story at school because creative writing didn't exist then as a school subject.
