Is the Photon Losing Coherence and Momentum?

As light travels from the distant parts of the universe getting to us, it gets redder and redder. The energy that's siphoned off that way through the other filaments, that's all equals the energy that's lost from the original photon as it traveled through space. And so the same thing basically goes with gravitons. So what's happening is like as gravitons are processed by a particle, let's say, they are bending out from there in a coherent graviton because space time is being regenerated.
