The Different Types of Acetabular Dysplasia
The LCEA is one of multiple different measures that you see particularly from x-rays. Below about 20 degrees is considered to be diagnostic of dysplasia. There are these gray areas where perhaps between 20 and 25 degrees it isn't quite so clear whether we're looking at a truly dysplastic hip. The three main types they talk about in terms of acetabular dysplasia are anterior, posterior and lateral or global Dysplasia.
