Buddhism's claim that if we imagine this idealized state of enlightenment, well, okay, there are different conceptions of enlightenment. But I hope you'll agree that one reasonably mainstream way to describe at least one of the ingredients of enlightenment gets back to the role of feelings. And it would involve, you know, no longer again, no longer having this subversive reaction to the bad feelings and this clinging reaction to the good feelings.
