Drugs Laws in Ireland With Dr Sharon Lambert

In Ireland we have drugs laws that center around criminalization. We don't have a health based approach to drugs in this country whether that be cannabis or opiates. The citizens assembly on drugs is happening right now it's incredibly important for the future of of drug laws in Ireland. I would like to see sensible drug laws that are informed by a health led approach something that prioritizes safety and is caring rather than just fucking everyone in jail and calling criminals. Dr Sharon Lambert who's been a guest on this podcast twice maybe three times so far works in the areas of trauma drug use homelessness she is an expert on the impact of drugs on Irish society. She was asked to speak before
